About Bristol
One of the best places to live.
Bristol regularly wins the vote as the best place to live in national polls and for very good reason. The city offers a fantastic lifestyle.
Harbourside
The Harbourside often creates the greatest first impression. Once a working port, it has, over the past 20 years, been reborn and offers a fantastic array of apartments and townhouses, great leisure opportunities and close proximity to the central business district.
Clifton
Beyond the waterfront, Bristol’s most exclusive residential areas are to be found in Clifton. Overlooking Avon Gorge and close to Durdham Downs, Clifton has a wonderful village atmosphere, with beautiful Georgian terraces providing exclusive apartments, townhouses, shops and restaurants.
Cliftonwood
Nearby Cliftonwood meanwhile nestles on the hillside and overlooks the Harbourside. Its distinctive terraced houses can be seen from miles away and themselves provide some of the best views of the city and the countryside beyond. There’s also a tremendous sense of community too, with regular events throughout the year (including the legendary open air film night parties in summer).
Cotham
Moving North from Clifton, one comes to Whiteladies Road and Cotham. Whiteladies Road is a thriving shopping and leisure district that’s retained its high street atmosphere. Beyond, in Cotham’s peaceful, leafy streets, you will find some fabulous homes, from large family houses to spacious apartments.
Redland
Bordering Cotham is Redland, one of Bristol’s most sought after residential districts with its peaceful streets, leafy public spaces and great choice of property. It’s the perfect place to bring up a family or buy your first flat, with the added bonus that the legendary Gloucester Road (‘Britain’s last high street’) is a short walk away.
Out of town
If you prefer a more rural pace you don’t need to go far, as there are many highly attractive towns and villages surrounding Bristol.
Leigh Woods
Drive across the Clifton suspension bridge and you will find Leigh Woods, adjacent to Ashton Court. The area features some truly spectacular homes, set in small, secluded roads amidst acres of picturesque woodlands.
Abbots Leigh
Popular with professionals, this excusive area primarily offers large family homes and is adjacent to Leigh Woods. The M5 is a few minutes’ drive for those needing fast access to the motorway network yet Abbots Leigh is only 3 miles from the City Centre.
Long Ashton
Set on the A370 main link road between Bristol and Weston Sup-Mare, Long Ashton is a rapidly developing village. Many homes have been built in recent years as this is a prime commuter area, just a few minutes’ drive from the centre of Bristol. Weston-super-mare is approximately half an hour by car, whilst Bristol Airport can be reached in around 20 minutes without having to enter Bristol.
